Event #1: Global Brand Fiat Chrysler introduce the world to their new
model Jeep Wrangler, 2017
Fiat Chrysler and their agents asked us to host a stand-out event to launch the new model Jeep Wrangler and showcase its impressive capabilities again New Zealand's stunning scenery.
We took 2 waves of 20 international media professionals and FCA executives on a 3 day driving journey, traversing some of the South Island’s most beautiful locations, from the Ahuriri Valley through the Lindis, West Wanaka and Rees Valley.
We chose this particular route as it wove together perfect terrain, scenery, and camping locations, while respecting the privacy of local land-owners.
We feel privileged at NewZeal to have been involved in this tremendously successful event, where strong friendships with the client and the extremely supportive local landowners were forged. We’re looking forward hugely to hosting the release of Jeep’s Gladiator model and to more adventures in this exceptionally scenic region.
Event #2: A finely-orchestrated adventure to enhance the brand profile of sportswear giants Eddie Bauer, 2018
Eddie Bauer’s Los Angele’s-based PR agency IHPR engaged us to organize an experience for a prominent American actress to be led by an IFMGA Mountain Guide, not just on a journey through NZ’s mountains, but on a wider journey to enhance her capabilities and interests in the outdoors.
She was joined by her husband and 4 executives from the agency on 2 multi-day expeditions through Fiordland and Westland/Tai Poutini National Parks.
For the first half of the trip, we brought together a small yet hugely capable guiding team to balance the participants’ safety and enjoyment, whilst managing challenging weather conditions and providing an ideal environment for all involved to connect, build and strengthen relations. For the second half, another fantastic team introduced our adventurers to a location chosen for its impressive mountains and glaciers, as well as close proximity to shelter, for safety back up.
It was quite something to work in partnership with legendary people on such an imaginative itinerary, for energetic clients. Sharing our rivers and glaciers– our greatest national treasures– in this way is what we love best at NewZeal®. And seeing the enjoyment it brings is hugely rewarding. These clients have since returned for a similar programme, leaving us super-inspired to keep delivering these creative experiences.
