Paul's goal for this year was to renew the qualifications he had back in the day when he was all about climbing big mountains. This involved upgrading his equipment, getting fit and strong while practising the latest for navigation, route planning, weather evaluation, hazard assessment and crevasse rescue techniques.
After many trips into the mountains Paul spent two weeks with the assessors up in Mt Cook and came back with the great news - PASS!!!
